Safeguarding and Policies
At each session, the safety and wellbeing of every child is at the heart of everything we do and remains our absolute priority. We are committed to creating an environment where children can explore and learn with joy, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
Outdoor play is wonderful for children’s developing bodies and minds. We also want parents to be aware of a few nature related illnesses and risks, such as: Lyme disease – tick bites; rash, fever, tiredness. Ringworm – mild fungal infection from soil, animals, or shared items. Allergic reactions – from pollen, plants, or insect stings. If you need further advice or are unsure about symptoms, please contact your GP or NHS 111.
All staff are experienced in working with children, follow our safeguarding policies aligned with national guidance and best practice, and hold enhanced DBS checks.
We carry out thorough risk assessments for all activities, locations, and weather conditions, and we maintain clear procedures for responding to concerns, incidents, or additional needs. Our policies are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain robust, transparent, and centred on each child’s wellbeing.
Families are always welcome to speak with us about our safeguarding approach or any specific support their child may need. Working together helps us create a safe, joyful space where children can thrive in nature.
